Is Wagmi Kitchen on Mainnet​

Not yet! Only on testnet for now but will be getting to mainnet soon!

I can't play a game for some reason?​

This most likely means you're the "host" of the pool. The host of the pool cannot start a game and challenge itself. You become the host by wagering more than the current pool balance. See the Variable Wagers section to learn more.

The Spoils Bot removed an item that had less than 2 open sides?​

That's (probably) not the case! When you collect an ingredient, you'll more than likely free up a side for a different ingredient, making it eligible to be collected/spoiled. The Spoils Bot removes ingredients one at a time, not all at once. After the first ingredient is spoiled, the Spoils bot re-evaluates which ingredients can be spoiled now that an ingredient has been removed. After the second ingredient is spoiled, it does the same thing then spoils it's 3rd and final ingredient.

When does a game expire?​

To start, the operation of the Sui network is divided into "epochs". You can learn more about that here.

When a game is created, it's given an "expiration epoch" that's 2 epochs from the current epoch. For example, a game is started during epoch 147. This means the game will expire during epoch 149.

When the expiration epoch is reached, you can claim the reward for that game if you have a higher score than the game you're playing against. Currently, 1 epoch is roughly 24 hours.

When I try to collect my Head Chef rewards, my wallet shows that I'm losing SUI?​

This probably means the amount you're trying to collect from your chef is less than the cost of the transaction. Wait for your chef to earn a bit more before collecting!

Why should I own a Head Chef?​

  • TWO sources of passive income
    • 2% of every wager is split amongst Head Chef owners
    • For every "Regular" Chef that's minted, 99% of the fee is split amongst Head Chef owners 🥹

How many Head Chef NFTs will there be?​

Currently its 4000. This is likely to remain this number until mainnet launch. I believe Wagmi Kitchen should have a big community!

How many Regular Chefs can be minted?​

An unlimited amount!

How do I get on the whitelist?​

  • Wagmi Kitchen will have a “Reservation List”. Details will be announced closer to mainnet launch 🚀

Who’s all on the team?​

  • Just me, Chef Wagmi 👨🏾‍🍳🥘
  • I’ve created all the art assets, front-end (Svelte + Tailwind 👨🏾‍💻), and back-end (Sui ❤️)!

Don't most gaming projects have multi-person teams?​

  • It depends! Solo game devs aren't a new thing. As a matter of fact, I’m heavily inspired by Eric Barone, solo creator of Stardew Valley (a game that has sold 20+ million copies!)

Why Wagmi Kitchen?​

There were a few things I wanted to accomplish with Wagmi Kitchen

  1. I wanted to play a game that I find interesting and not too complex. The game should have simple concepts that most people are familiar with (ie collecting ingredients in order to make meals). The game should be SUPER easy to learn and a mastering it should be a fun journey.

  2. Each NFT should be unique and this uniqueness should matter! I’m not a fan of games in which the NFT attributes have no effect on the gameplay. What I find most fun is learning how to strategically use the skills of my individual characters to my advantage.

  3. Being an initial NFT owner should matter! The value of owning a Head Chef shouldn’t (just) be the potential to resell it at a higher price. Head Chef owners can earn passive income in perpetuity for each game played and every Regular Chef created.

  4. Everything is on chain! Even if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, Head Chef owners will still get paid and players can still double their money. As long as the Sui network is alive, Wagmi Kitchen will be alive ❤️
